Blue Ribbon Honoree Boosts Student Achievement with EducationCity.com
Woodview School, in Grayslake, Illinois utilizes EducationCity to provide standards-based, differentiated instruction, practice and assessment to all students in kindergarten through fourth grade. Since implementing EducationCity in 2008, the school has seen significant gains in the percentage of students meeting and exceeding Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) benchmarks.
From 2008 to 2009 Woodview School’s students scored 13 percent higher than the Illinois state average and from 2009 to 2010 that number jumped to 16 percent. Woodview math and reading scores were also consistently higher than the state average. The school was named a 2009 Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School – representing high performance among its students. EducationCity was part of the first Midwest Blue Ribbon Schools Conference in April of 2011 – hosted by Woodview School.
