School Uses EducationCity.com as a Response to Intervention (RtI) Tool
Summary
East Fannin Elementary School in Morganton, Georgia uses EducationCity daily as a primary prescribed Response to Intervention (RtI) tool for math and reading as well as drill, practice and review of skills in kindergarten through fifth grade. In just one year of EducationCity use, East Fannin has seen a 10% total increase in student performance.
Significant achievement jumps were seen in third and fourth grade math scores. In the 2008-2009 school year, 77 percent of third graders and 68 percent of fourth graders met or exceeded Georgia state standards. But, in 2009-2010 93 percent of East Fannin third graders and 82 percent of the school’s fourth graders fell into that category. Math performance across all grades increased as well. In 2008-2009, 65 percent of East Fannin students met or exceeded state math standards. That number jumped to 85 percent the following year. As a result, the school met Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP).
