Stig and Sten's Adventures on EducationCity.com

adventure map

All the games within EducationCity.com are divided into adventures, designed to match the age of your child.

They differ in terms of difficulty to reflect what the kids are learning at school.

As such, children embarking on their first adventures will still cover all the subjects of math, language arts (literacy) and science, but will focus on learning letters and sounds, counting and science that occurs all around us.

Older children, however, will truly get to grips with the vital subject-related concepts when selecting their adventures! There’s narrative analysis and perspective in language arts, algebra, volume and negative numbers in math, plus the Solar System, chemical reactions and human anatomy in science. And much, much more!

Whichever adventures you choose, however, you can guarantee it’ll be fun. They all include Play Live Dash, our new interactive, quick-fire, mental math challenge (with the exception of First Steps). They all follow the same format, that's tried and tested to engage children every time! And all follow Stig, Sten and the Gang as they explore the wonderfully magical world around them!

3-4 year olds

first steps what is the weather todayEducationCity.com's first steps have been specifically created for 3-4 year olds, and as such it's a very gentle introduction to learning.

The adventure includes games and rhymes for the children to sing along to, all of which focus on everyday places and activities familiar to them. They’ll be able to explore letters, shapes, days of the week, time and seasons, learn the numbers up to 30, and start to understand how and where animals live.

What’s more, all the games adopt a 'try and try again' approach to reward our very young learner for his/her attention and effort, whilst still ensuring the correct outcomes are positively reinforced.

5 - 6 year olds

little buddiesBuilding on the math, language arts and science the children already know, Little Buddies guides them through phonics, simple grammar and comprehension, numbers 1-100, their first addition and subtraction, sequences, and the difference between gases, liquids and solids.

7 - 9 year olds.

Adventures build on what has already been covered in previous games and takes each subject to the next level.

In math, you’ll be adding fractions and decimals, learning about graphs and applying the math you know to help you solve real-life problems. In Language Arts, you’ll be investigating the structure of language and its many applications. In Science, there's everything and anything from rock formations, to plants, to electricity and magnetism!

10 - 12 year olds
