Welcome to the September edition of The City Today! Bringing you all the latest from Education City.

Welcome back to school, we've missed you! We've had a productive summer working on lots of new projects to add value to your favorite educational resource.

New year, new students - remember to send us your new class lists!

Just email us your single school class list formatted in Microsoft Excel and we'll upload it for you! All class lists must be uploaded in order to use our SuccessTracker feature.

SuccessTracker will:

  • Monitor student progress
  • Identify student strengths
  • Identify student weaknesses
  • Suggest reinforcement activities 

Please note: we cannot accept class lists in PDF format due to compatibility issues. School Districts: please submit a single spreadsheet per school.

Allow 24-48 hours for to upload your class list. Once uploaded, we will send you a confirmation email to let you know everything is ready to go!

Common Core Standards now available nationwide!

We've completed standards map updates in 49 states, including the addition of Common Core Standards maps*. Switch to Common Core Standards using the "Standards Switch" feature! You can find this feature by clicking on the "Teacher Area" and then the "Schoolwide Settings" tab.

This is a free upgrade for our subscribers!

*With the exception of states that did not adopt Common Core Standards as well as Rhode Island and the District of Columbia. Outdated standards have been removed.

Our latest myCity enhancement allows you to organize your myCities with up to 50 folders! Customize your folders with unique labels and icons for easy identification and reduce clutter with the show/hide function. Create a myCity today to familiarize yourself with this new upgrade!

Individual Student Login - LIVE!

With the benefit of your feedback, we are in the final stages of developing individual student logins! Individual logins are easy for students to use and ensure that their saved scores are secure and accurate. Try it today!

PlayLive - Now for Language Arts!

Inspired by the popularity of our mental math PlayLive feature, we have launched a new real-time arena for Language Arts! Reinforce students' language arts skills by engaging them in Boggle-style competition. Check it out in Grades 1-6 and send us your feedback!

New Mental Math Tool and Topic Tool Library!

Responding to overwhelming demand for a customizable version of our popular PlayLive mental math arena, we have developed a new Topic Tool that allows you to practice mental math skills with your students. Take advantage of the grade-appropriate auto-defaults or differentiate instruction with customizable settings!
