It's now's easier than ever to create a cloze exercise tailored to your needs! We've added the Open & Save feature enabling you to prepare for lessons in advance, store text within the tool that you intend to regularly use or revisit with your class, start using the Topic Tool in one lesson and continue in another, and copy pre-loaded content for use in alternative academic levels.

But that's not the only thing we've added! Now, you're also able to show ore hide the first letter of your missing words. You can also check answers either automatically or by manually clicking on the "Check" function. And, you have the ability to add new synonyms/antonyms/alternative answers to your exercise via the gameplay screen's "Add Word" feature.

Additionally, we've updated the look and feel of the tool and upgraded the functionality to be more user friendly. To add blanks in your exercise just click on the words you want to remove, or use our menu of word types. You can also move words around within your missing words list - just drag them wherever you want them!

Of course, you'll still benefit from the powerful features that remain in the original tool, such as the Timer, Reading Colors, and a pre-provided Text Bank for each grade level.

Explore and enjoy!

It's here! After many, many months of planning, development, feedback and improvements, Education City's new ELL module, Learn English is LIVE!

This new module has been highly anticipated for quite some time! And, it's no surprise why. We know that you have more ELLs in your classroom than ever before. You probably have more students in your classroom than ever before, fewer resources and even less manpower.

That's why we created Learn English - to support ELLs - and their teachers!

Back in April we launched a pilot version of Learn English to more than 50 volunteer schools across the country. The objective of the pilot program was to see how students were responding to Learn English and how teachers are actually using Learn English. We gathered as much feedback as possible and continued to develop the module.

The results?

Overwhelming praise for a module that is easy for ELLs to understand, in age-appropriate contexts that engage the student and foster the independence that ELLs seek:

Q: Have you noticed any improvements in the students' confidence about a particular topic?

A: Yes - 77% "I saw my students who are usually really shy and don't want to participate wanting to play on Learn English. They would call me over and show me their work or tell me whatthey learned from the game. It was great!"

Q: Was the language level of Learn English content pitched correctly for your students?

A: Yes - 74%

"Learn English is the easiest ELL program I've ever used. It's the only thing I've introduced to the children that they've been able to understand and utilize from Day 1!"

Check it out for yourself!
