White Board Scores

Up until a few weeks ago I could have my students play in "whiteboard" mode and save their scores. This was useful since I have a smart board and my students are good at taking turns. After a student completed the acitivty they could save their score. Now it seems that the score cannot be saved in whiteboard mode. I looked through preferences, autosave, etc and didn't see any whiteboard settings. Is this feature no longer available or do I just need to toggle something on or off.

Thanks

Re: White Board Scores

Is there any way to activiate the "red dot" letter tracing in the letter sounds activaties. In normal mode it says "don't touch the screen" but in white board mode it puts a red dot and lets you move it along the letter. Is there an option in my city to enable that feature?

Re: White Board Scores

Whiteboard mode was aimed at class interaction as opposed to individual students, so we took the decision to remove the save score option from whiteboard mode.

You can setup myCity to run in the same way as the old Whitboard mode if you still want to save scores in your class. to do this folow the guide below.

Go to the Teacher area and select mycity, enter your feature password to continue.

1. Click Create New, enter a title and click 'Next'.
2. Now click on the Add Activity option, select any activities you want to use for your session.
3. Select the Preference option.

Now change the check marks for the following.

A. Countdown Timer - Off
B. Pause on Reinforcement 'Correct' - On
C. Pause on Reinforcement 'incorrect' - On

Now click Next, Next etc till you come to Save, after saving the changes return to the main home page.

Select myCity then your named set if more than one other is listed.

Click the activity you need and then click the normal Play button.

You can ask the same teacher to write mupitlle letters, they will just have to change the name of the school. It's really up to you, but you should try to pick the teacher(s) that will give you the best recommendation. Was this answer helpful?
