Welcome to the May 2010 edition of The City Today, bringing you all the latest from!


Iowa and Wisconsin Subscribers Take Note! is now on the list of approved vendors in Iowa and Wisconsin for the Microsoft Voucher Program (MVP). Up until now, had only been on the approved vendor list in California. This funding couldn’t have come at a better time! With’s annual price increase taking effect on June 1, 2010, schools in these states can use their Microsoft money to renew at current prices! For more information about how to use your MVP funds click on the links below or give us a call at 1-800-995-5410. It’s a slow process, but we’re working hard at winning a place on the other 16 state lists. Stay tuned!

Activities and Topic Tools
Check out our new activities and topic tools! Upgraded math activities include: Wonderful World and the Volume and Surface Area tool; new Matematicas activities include: Atrapa al Conejo and Dinero Cosmico. Please note, not all activities correlate to every state standard. Therefore, some activities may be visible in some states and not in others.
The days are getting longer and your students are getting restless! You know what that means…summer vacation is right around the corner. While the summer months are a (deservedly) nice break from the rigorous teaching and learning year, it can also act like a knowledge black hole. An easy way to get around this obstacle and make sure your students are in the best mental shape possible when they return in the fall, is encouraging access from home. You know the kids enjoy the activities and parents will appreciate some educational mind exercises! It’s an easy way to prep your students for success next year.
